Production Method of Boron Phosphide BP Powder

Chemical vapor deposition (CVD): This method produces cobalt phosphide powder through a chemical reaction of cobalt and phosphorus vapor at high temperatures. A compound of the metal cobalt and phosphorus is usually used as a reactant to react at a specific temperature and pressure to produce a cobalt phosphide powder.

In chemical vapor deposition, a compound of metal cobalt and phosphorus must be heated to high temperatures to evaporate into vapor. Then, by controlling the reaction conditions (such as temperature, pressure, the ratio of reactants, etc.), the cobalt and phosphorus are chemically reacted to produce cobalt phosphide powder. The advantage of this method is that the powder obtained is of high purity and fine particle size, but the disadvantage is that the production cost is high. Much energy is required to heat the reactants and maintain their vapor state.

The solid phase reaction method mixes cobalt metal and phosphide powder and reacts at high temperatures to produce cobalt phosphide powder. The powder obtained by this method has a coarser particle size and makes it easy to introduce impurities, but the production cost is low.

In a solid-state reaction, a metallic cobalt and phosphide powder are mixed and then reacted at high temperatures. The advantage of this method is that the production cost is low, but the disadvantage is that the powder size is coarser, and it is easy to introduce impurities. Some solvents or other additives can be added to obtain a finer powder to control the reaction process.

Liquid phase method: The method is to dissolve the metal cobalt and phosphorus compounds in the solvent by controlling the reaction conditions (such as temperature, concentration, etc.) so that cobalt and phosphorus react to produce cobalt phosphide powder. The powder obtained by this method has higher purity, coarser particle size and lower production efficiency.

In the liquid phase method, a metal cobalt and phosphorus compound is dissolved in a solvent and then reacts under specific temperature and concentration conditions. The advantage of this method is that the powder obtained is of high purity, but the disadvantage is that the particle size is coarser and the production efficiency is low. To get a finer powder, some surfactants can be added, or centrifugation can be used to improve the powder's particle size distribution.

Electrolysis: The method is to dissolve cobalt metal in a solution containing phosphide and precipitate cobalt phosphide powder on the cathode through electrolysis. The powder size obtained by this method is finer, but the production efficiency is lower, and the solution's purity is higher.

In the electrolysis process, cobalt metal is dissolved in a solution containing phosphide, and then cobalt phosphide powder is precipitated on the cathode by electrolysis. The advantage of this method is that the powder size is finer, but the disadvantage is that the production efficiency is low, and the purity of the solution is higher. To obtain a finer powder, some additives can be added, or multi-stage electrolysis can be used to improve the powder's particle size distribution.
