About Europium Nitride EuN Powder:

Europium nitride is a semiconductor that contains non-magnetic Eu3+, but substoichiometric europium nitride contains a mixture of Eu in the 2+ and 3+ charge states. The results show that when the concentration of Eu2+ is close to 15% ~ 20%, the silver is ferromagnetic, and the Curie temperature is up to 120 K. The polarization of Eu3+ follows that of Eu2+, which demonstrates the intrinsic ferromagnetism of EUN and, therefore, is a new type of diluted magnetic semiconductor. Transport measurements revealed possible exchange mechanisms.
